October Open Race!

Yee-Haw! What a race!
We seem to say that every month, but it’s amazing how fun these Open Races are! Loads of new faces this month, with none of them definitely not practicing in the week, lol.
Fully booked, this was a decent size field, using the new/old GP format again, these seem to be really popular.
Rain threatened early on, but managed to stay dry for a cold overcast race – winter must be coming. I wonder how many more before the rain suits come out!
B-Final : Jack H matched his last months podium, and grabbed the 3rd place, 2nd was Richard R, and 1st place on his 1st open was Anthony C! Well done everyone.
A-Final : Adam N has a serious battle on his hands this month, and managed to bring home the 3rd place trophy. 2nd and 1st places were highly competitive with Dan R and Robin B battling and swapping position throughout the race. Robin again sealed the 1st place with an overtake on the last corner, just nipped Dan R into 2nd!
Massive shout out to the drivers again this month – so many epic battles!

July Open Race!

Has summer finally arrived? Blue Skies and wall to wall sunshine dominated the July Open.
Returning which pic’s after the hiatus of last months (sorry Dan, we’ve included a cheeky podium shot from last month while we are waiting for the video to be finalised).
Top Spot on the Day goes to Robin who brought his no.1 fan, who will now be his future lucky mascot! DLW in 2nd place and Adam bringing it home in 3rd place.
It was almost a lockout from the Exeter massive!
Fastest Man of the Day (and month so far) goes to Tris M!

May Open Race!

The Sun was shining and the talk was about last lights Aurora’s and those who slept through it!
Todays felt like a fantastic summers day, warm and dry with a light breeze – the perfect day for the May Open Race.
All the drivers were on top form, and the ‘old’ faces seem to be warming up and getting the number of the younger upstarts! lol.
First place on the Day was Daniel again, who managed to get 1st on pole and held it throughout it, but Tris certainly kept him on his toes! Tristan some say may have had a quiet race – Qualifying in 2nd and finishing in 2nd – but he worked hard for it and kept Daniel honest!
Third place went to Dan, although listening to the race afterwards there ‘may’ have been some slightly dubious overtakes on Dan part, lol.
Mention of the day goes to Marshal Adrian, who upon hearing Frankie would not be able to perform her normal monthly photo op, stepped in for her, and glowed up for the photo! Thanks Ade!

April Open Race!

Largest one yet (we seem to be saying that each time now, lol).
Absolute cracker of a race this month, tightly packed and battles throughout the pack.
Adam Pulled it out of the bag again! Clean driving, staying out of trouble, and getting clear from the pack all built to a massive lead over the rest of the field!
Storming into 2nd place was Dan R, translating his DPD parcel skills onto the track, bring home 3rd was Darri, who after saying he couldn’t compete with the new young upcoming generation, then proceeded to smash them, lol.

March Open Race Results!

One of the smoothest races in history! No Drama, no fuss, only a bit of grass cutting – we’re amazed, lol.
Starting damp, and progressing into rain later in the race, somehow drivers were still hitting the 53’s – very very impressive!
Top spot this month goes to Adam N, repeating his performance from the February Open, proving he not only has the gear, he also has some idea! 😂
Second was Daniel, managing one step higher than the January open, and finally 3rd place was awarded to Adam C who also beat his best previous result making it onto the podium for the first time.
Nice to see a full field on this one, and special mention have to go to Darri & Steph who attended for Clive.
